We know you'll have questions regarding our care, interaction, and education of your child. We've listed the ones we're asked the most below in order to help you make a decision to enroll your child at the Evanston Child Development Center or the Children's Learning Foundation.
Why is preschool important to a child?
Most educators and psychologists today agree that the single most important period in the development of a person’s intelligence occurs between birth and age five. A child’s mind is extremely absorbent and curiosity is at a peak during these early years. When properly nourished and stimulated, the child’s mind forms patterns for learning that serve him/her well throughout his/her life.
What is the process regarding employee background checks?
We conduct a comprehensive background check on all prospective employees. The background check consists of a county criminal record check for the past seven years performed in all counties that a person has lived, worked or attended school. In addition to the county criminal search, we also conduct sex offender and OFAC searches as well as a social security verification trace. Program licensing background checks required by the state are also performed.
Can I visit my child anytime I'd like to?
Yes, we have an open door policy. You are encouraged to visit your child anytime.
Are all staff trained in CPR and First Aid?
All staff are trained regularly in CPR. First Aid is taught as required by state licensing agency/regulations so that you can feel confident that your child is safe and receiving the best care possible at our center.
